This privacy policy applies to the app "Dancefloor Defense" for iPhone and iPad (the "App").

2. Principles

The App does not need a user account. We do not run our own server for the App and we do not receive personal data from the App. Data is only processed where the App uses services from Apple and, for ads, from Google. These services are described below.

3. Game saves on the device and in iCloud

Your game progress (for example unlocked levels, settings, in-game currency) is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to Game Center, your save is also stored in your iCloud through Game Center so that it is available on your devices. Apple handles this storage. We have no access to your iCloud.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the game you want to use).

4. Game Center (leaderboards and achievements)

The App uses Apple Game Center for leaderboards, achievements and game saves. When you are signed in, the App sends your scores and earned achievements to Apple. Your Game Center name and scores may be visible to other players on the leaderboards. You control sign in and visibility in your device settings. Apple's privacy policy applies.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

5. In-app purchases

Purchases in the App are handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive payment data. The App only learns whether a purchase succeeded so that it can unlock the purchased content.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Ads with Google AdMob

The App shows optional ads that give you a small in-game reward. Ads only appear when you start them yourself and never in the middle of a wave. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), with the service Google AdMob.

Consent. On first launch, the App asks for your consent through Google's consent management platform (Google User Messaging Platform, IAB TCF standard). Without consent, no personalized ads are shown; depending on your choice, the App shows no ads or only non personalized ads. The game always stays fully playable.

Advertising identifier (IDFA). The App only accesses your device's advertising identifier if you allow it in Apple's system prompt (App Tracking Transparency). You can change this at any time in the iOS settings under "Privacy & Security, Tracking".

Data processed. According to Google, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process the following data: IP address (also to estimate the general location), device identifiers (for example the advertising identifier, if allowed), advertising data (for example ads you have seen), interactions with ads, and diagnostic and performance data (for example crash logs, launch time). Google also processes this data under its own responsibility; data may be transferred to the USA. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Ad filter. The App only requests ads suitable for teens (rating "T").

Withdrawal. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future: in the App under "Settings, Privacy settings" (visible when consent is required).

Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. For non personalized ads and technically necessary delivery we rely on our legitimate interest in financing the free game under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

7. Retention

Saves on your device remain until you delete the App. Saves in iCloud and Game Center data are managed by Apple; you can delete them in the settings of your device or your Apple Account. Google's retention periods are described by Google. We do not store any data from the App ourselves.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), and the right to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). Since we do not receive data from the App ourselves, requests about data held by Apple or Google are best sent directly to them; we are happy to help at m@mamarx.de.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for the seat of mamarx GmbH: Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.

10. Age rating and children

The App is rated 13+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the App or legal requirements change. The version published in the App or on our website applies.
